FINA World Championships Gwangju 2019 begins!

The 18th FINA World Championships Gwangju 2019 opened in the city of Gwangju, South Korea on 12 July. The Championships are being held for 17 days until 28 July.

To promote the 2021 Fukuoka edition of the World Championships, the Organising Committee of the Fukuoka Championships is running a booth in the Market Street at the main competition venue in Gwangju. A variety of promotional goods featuring the Fukuoka event’s official mascots named “Sealight” and “Shirney,” which were recently unveiled to the public, are gaining a lot of popularity among visitors to the PR booth.

The concept of the Fukuoka 2021, entitled, “WATER MEETS THE FUTURE,” expresses the hope that all the participants will meet the future.
Exactly two years from today, 16 July 2021 is the opening day of the World Championships in Fukuoka. We look forward to the future that awaits us, and cannot wait for that moment.
