Announcement: Conclusion of a partnership agreement with Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee

The Organising Committee of the 19th FINA World Championships 2021 Fukuoka entered into a partnership agreement with the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee) on Thursday, 1 August.
Aiming for the success of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in 2020 and the 2021 edition of the FINA World Championships and FINA World Masters Championships taking place in Fukuoka, the two organising committees have agreed to establish a mutual collaboration and cooperation system for their respective events.

There has been a hope that the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics will encourage the whole Japan to unite and develop innovations in a diverse range of fields.
As the organisers of the FINA World Championships in Fukuoka, we are determined to take over the know-how, technology and not to mention the new vitality of sports from the Tokyo 2020, and extend the legacy handed down throughout not only the Kyushu region but entire Japan.
