The competitions on the 10th will be held as follows;

-Kamoike Park Swimming Pool (Artistic Swimming): No changes from the schedule which was announced at 8th

-Aqua Dome Kumamoto (Water Polo): No changes to the schedule

-Marine Messe Fukuoka A and Nishi Civic Pool (Swimming): No changes from the schedule which was announced yesterday(9th).

Schedule Change due to Inclement Weather | at the World Aquatics Masters Championships-Kyushu 2023

Please refer to the following for competition schedules at Kagoshima, Kumamoto and Fukuoka for Thursday, 10 August. Due to the inclement weather, schedules at some venues have changed. The safety of all participants, spectators and event staff are of absolute importance to World Aquatics and the Fukuoka 2023 Organising Committee. We will regularly communicate updates as we continue to monitor the path of the expected heavy rains and the effect this may have on public transportation, closely coordinating with local authorities and transportation officials.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

1. Kagoshima - Artistic Swimming events at Kamoike Park Swimming Pool to be held according to the schedule released on 8 August
Currently, all Artistic Swimming events scheduled for tomorrow will be held according to the schedule released on 8 August (see Attachment 1). If the weather conditions in Kagoshima city on the morning of the 10th make it difficult to travel to the venue, the competition may be suspended. Whether the competition will be held on the 10th will be announced in the morning, no later than 6:30 am.

2. Kumamoto - No changes made to the Water Polo schedule at Aqua Dome Kumamoto
Currently, all matches scheduled for tomorrow will be held as planned. If the weather conditions in Kumamoto city on the morning of the 10th make it difficult to travel to the venue, the competition may be suspended. Whether the competition will be held on the 10th will be announced in the morning, no later than 6:30 am.

3. Fukuoka – Swimming event schedule changed at Marine Messe A and Nishi Civic Pool
Swimming events for 10 August has been rescheduled for both venues. Please refer to Attachment 2 for details. If the weather conditions in Fukuoka city on the morning of the 10th make it difficult to travel to the venue, the competition may be suspended. Whether the competition will be held on the 10th will be announced in the morning, no later than 9:00 am.

Due to the approaching inclement weather, the following changes have been made to the competition schedule. The safety of all participants, spectators and event staff is of absolute importance to World Aquatics and the Fukuoka 2023 Organising Committee. We will regularly communicate updates as we continue to monitor the path of the expected heavy rains and the effect this may have on public transportation, closely coordinating with local authorities and transportation officials.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

1. Suspended - Artistic Swimming events at Kamoike Park Swimming Pool, Kagoshima city
All Artistic Swimming events scheduled for tomorrow, 9 August, will be suspended.
Events scheduled for the 8th and 9th are currently planned to be held on the 10 and 11 August. Please refer to Attachment 1 for revised schedules pending no further adverse weather. If public transportation on the morning of the 10th is suspended, the event starting time may change. The final starting time for the 10th will be announced on the day, no later than 7:00 am. In the interest of everyone's well-being, we kindly urge all involved to stay at home or remain in their hotels on 9 August.

2. Competition schedule changed ‒ Water Polo matches at Aqua Dome Kumamoto
Competition schedule for 9 August has been changed. Please refer to the Attachment 2 for details. If the weather conditions in Kumamoto city on the morning of the 9th make it difficult to travel to the venue, the competition may be suspended. Whether the competition will be held on the 9th will be announced on the day, no later than 6:30 am.

3. No changes ‒ Swimming at Marine Messe Hall A
Currently, all Swimming events scheduled for 9 August will be held as planned. If the weather conditions in Fukuoka city on the morning of the 9th make it difficult to travel to the venue, the competition may be suspended. Whether the competition will be held on the 9th will be announced on the day, no later than 6:30 am. Please note that no events are scheduled at Nishi Civic Pool on the 9th.

7th August 2023 - Inclement Weather Advisory | Artistic Swimming competitions
at the World Aquatics Masters Championships in Kagoshima, Japan

7 August, 20:20 Announced

Due to the approaching inclement weather, World Aquatics and local event organisers have suspended the artistic swimming competitions planned in Kagoshima on 8 August. The safety of all participants, spectators and event staff is of absolute importance to us, and we are closely coordinating with local authorities and transportation officials.

We will regularly communicate updates regarding the potential rescheduling of competitions in the following days as we continue to monitor the path of the expected heavy rains and the effect this may have on public transportation. In the interest of everyone's well-being, we kindly urge all involved to stay at home or remain in their hotels on 8 August.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Rest assured; we will share further information as soon as possible.

Please note that there will be no changes to the schedules across other venues (Fukuoka, Kumamoto).
